“Non siamo angeli abbiamo un corpo”, translated from Italian, signifies: "we are not angels, we have a body." Within this EP, akïi delves into this theme, intricately woven into the tapestry of the interplay between religion and queerness.
Drawing inspiration from the project "Santa Carne," curated by Teatro della Cenere in Sicily, akïi navigates the path of grappling with opposing ideals within one's own identity. In a world which is evolving at different speeds within the same spaces, the emergence of multifaceted identities becomes an anticipated journey.
The tracks are defined by piercing sounds and glitches, mirroring the poignant clash of contrasts. This sonic divergence serves as a conduit for conveying the complexity of inner conflicts. The EP develops across five tracks, each an exploration of ambient, bass, hyper, and glitch, encapsulating a spectrum of human experience. The very variability in the soundscape becomes a reflection of life's rich and diverse intricacies.
Playful yet introspective, akïi’s innovative sound seamlessly blends experimental, digital, bass, and hyperpop, inviting listeners on a genre-defying journey through the multicoloured landscapes of their imagination. As a DJ, akïi curates intimate, emotional atmospheres on the dance floor, transporting audiences to another dimension through their unique and dynamic sets.

Super exciting experimental and deconstructed tunes on this release. This release balances really nice between the a more etheral/astral sound and some gnarly noise elements. Everything I love about deconstructed club in one go. Markus (Hårek)
